kinda tannish cause im part asian

and has dark brown hair (almost black)

im not that tall..and has mid-long hair

Well...most girls would kill to have straight longish hair like yours....I say you should add some hilights and side bangs....

And you can do all sorts of things with it...pig tails...side ponys...reg pony...half up half down...even a messy bun....I think it would look great....side bangs rock...

You can lightly tease it and leave it down but put a wide hair band this will make it looks polished. Kind of like this ignore the man but do not tease so much.

if you want it long, i would get angles in toward your face, that looks really pretty with long hair. or some long layers or choppy layers. i always think that looks good. %26amp; some side bangs..or if you dont want bangs..they can be part of the angles.

if you dont mind it short, get it a little longer than shoulder lenght cause you can do more with it, and get long layers. that looks really pretty. i have that haircut, and i loveee it! i also have side bangs, and i can style them however i want pretty much or just clip them back.

Medium to short hairstyles?

for a hair that is neither curly nor completely straight.... kinda like in between... and with quite a lot of volume if not blowdried (I have a massive amount of hair)

It's straight when it's really long but I got a bob that looked awesome when I straightened it but looks awful now that it's growing and I got tired of using the straightening iron.

I need short to medium length because it doesn't even get to touch my shoulders right now.

It's a layered shag, then a flat iron was used to make it straight. It's a fairly simple cut, and usually a straight edged razor is used to get the whispy effect. It's a really cute cut as well, when you curl it or use hot rollers!

I think that would just be layering + something else, cuz my hair was thick too I think, and my mom cut the part of my hair where you can't see the layering I guess. Like she didn't layer the outside, but the inside, you know what I mean? ^^
