Advice on hairstyle?

I have very long dark hair, very long as to nearly to my butt lol. I like it and it grows very quickly but im sick of having it just tied back all the time, i cant keep it down mostly because of the wind and its so annoying. I have had my hair layered before so i thought that would help, but i didn't really notice the difference and it grew out very quickly aswell. Im going to get it cut, not drastically but above halfway up my back, ive been told numerous times i would suit a side swept fringe and to have it tousled. Does anyone know any hairstyles that would suit or any other advice?

Cutting your long hair would be a good choice but be sure that you don't cut off too much. It must have taken quite some time for it to grow long, so i advise you to just cut it (maybe cut off like 6-7 inches). I know the feeling of cutting hair....i have long black hair...same as you. You should try curling your hair. I'm sure you would look beautiful.

Try to curl it at the bottom and straighten the top, it will be a messy/straight haircut that is both fashionable and easy to do

i used to have long hair to the middle of my back before i donated it to locks of love and i wore it in a clip all the time. it is a very simple and easy way to style your hair.

my hair is the same,im a hairdresser and to be honest....leave it alone if it is just the wind etc bothering you..short hair has more problems inc wind.long is good if you like it if not think very carefully or you may regret it...

Get it all cut off. Long hair is very boring. If you look at the photos of others ie. Plymouth Brethrin, then you will find that it is time to have a radical change of style. No one likes or admires your hair; in fact it makes me feel physically ill to see all those dead cells hanging down peoples backs! GO FOR IT and have a change - you can always grow it again, but I doubt you will. Everyone who comments on your hair is just being polite as it is so gross. What they really mean when they say WOW is - Gross and disgusting. Change it.

French braid it. That always looks nice whether you want to dress for an evening out or casual. Also wear it in a french ponytail. Get yourself the hairogami. You can wear your hair all kinds of different styles with that. I use to have one and they are awesome !!!!!
