What kind of hair cut should I get?

Please no 80s or 90s hairstyles, something very cute and now.

I am open to short cuts, long layers, anything.

BUT I will not shave my head!

What kind of hair cut should I get?

It depends a lot on what face shape you have. If your not sure then you can tell by pulling your hair back and examining the perimeter of you face.

For SQUARE shaped faces:

[ squares have flatter chins and foreheads with a shorter wider face]

so RIGHT: Soft round layers with shoulder length(or above) cuts coz it softens the angles.

so WRONG: Blunt bobs with a straight fringe, the harsh lines will enhance the angles ofyou face.

The Part: Brushed back hair with a changeable part will open up you face and take focus away from your chin.

For OVAL shaped faces :

[Ovals have slim slightly curved faces narrow to each end]

so RIGHT: Bouncy layers with straight or sweeping fringes, and short crops.

so WRONG: Long hair thats all the same length coz it swamps the face and draws it out (making it horse like long)

The Part: Ovals are lucky and suit pretty much all parts.

For HEART shapes faces:

[Hearts are rounder at the foreheadbut curve in at the chin]

so RIGHT: Long or short layers and long soft fringes.

so WRONG: Short pixie cuts as they will exaggerate the forehead and short fringes make the face to round.

The Part: Side sweeping fringes slim the face and middle parts will hide the forehead roundness.

For DIAMOND shaped faces:

[Diamonds are similar to ovals but with more angular features]

so RIGHT: Short choppy layers will open the face up and balance it out.

so WRONG: Unlayered, straight hair it will close the face and draw it out.

The Part: Go a fringe side or straight as it will widen the face and reduce length.

For ROUND shaped faces:

[Rounds have curved chins with wider foreheads and round cheeks]

so RIGHT: Longer layers around the face to lengthen the features, and shoulder length cuts that will balance the face.

so WRONG: Short crops or extra long length without layers, it will enhance the roundness.

The Part: Side parts with a sweeping fringe will break up roundness.

Get an a-line style bob, they are very trendy right now. You could pull it off, and get bangs that can either be forward, or side swept. Shorter is nice for summer. :)

Well, since you have a head-shape like mine, maybe layers and bangs would look cute. Your hair looks good long, ask your local hairstylist what would look best on YOU. You can even look through magizines and look at some of the "now" styles.
